ESCA

SUSTAINABILITY —

ESCA seeks to lightly integrate with nature. Our semi-permanent approach to construction ensures a low-impact footprint on the landscape.

The semi-permanent nature of an ESCA suite provides a light footprint on the land it occupies and allows for the flexibility to move it in the future. This enables the local environment to quickly recover back to its natural state if the buildings are ever removed. Luxury and low impact can co-exist.

LIGHT FOOTPRINT —

Modular design and construction leaves a minimal impact on your site, since we drop in the suites when they at the final stages of completion.  Unlike an in situ build, minimal settings in the ground are required, and the majority of construction is completed off site, meaning minimal disruption and noise pollution to your special place.  ESCA suites can be fully off grid as well, with water and solar collection, and an in-ground wastewater system.

ESCA suites can also be removed and reused again in the future, so sites can regenerate, and yet lifetime usage of the suite can be extended for decades.

Efficient Design

The efficiency afforded by our modular design and construction methodology allows for greater investment in the build quality and environmental performance of each ESCA suite. This can include elements such as double glazing to increase thermal performance, improved airtightness and insulation specifications, or the building’s overall structural performance and integrity.

Off Grid Capable

Each ESCA suite can be designed to operate off-grid for power, water, waste and gas if required, without compromising the guest experience.

Of the Place

When placing suites in a location, our approach revolves around caring for the landscape and the environmental heritage of the site. Each suite is architecturally designed to complement the environment it sits within.
